Questions
How much LP do you get for a win in ranked?
EUW Flex, patch 26.20 (7–12 Oct 2026): a win paid +22.4 LP on average and a loss cost −17.1. The medians were +21 and −19.
Why did a loss cost me 0 LP?
Riot holds some losses at 0 LP: at the bottom of a tier (division IV at 0 LP) and just after a promotion.
Why do I lose more LP than I gain?
Riot sets how much LP a game gives or takes, and explains it on its support site.
What happens if I lose at 0 LP?
Inside a tier (divisions III to I), 95.6% of losses at 0 LP drop you a division, to about 90 LP. In division IV, 58 to 65% are held (Solo, 26–28 Sep 2026).
Is there LP inflation?
Yes. The average Flex game adds +2.76 LP, so the ladder gains LP every day. Dodges and decays take back about 0.30 LP a game.
